Every woman wants smooth and soft skin right?! Silky smooth skin has a luxurious feel to it.
Most spas provide some sort of skin softening service where they can drench your skin in some form of moisture rich emollients.
I recently got to learn one of the coolest skin softening treatments, where your skin is wrapped in chocolate! Can you imagine!
If you didn’t know, chocolate is a fat. The treatment is prepared is by heating the fat and oil produced from chocolate and mix it into another lotion base. Thus you have both the chocolate and the lotion working together.
So what can you do to have the same silky soft skin without using up all that chocolate or buying a spa treatment?
Here is all you need to do.
Do what you regularly complete every morning but add one small step to your daily routine.
Small tip: while this IS easy, it's best to complete this ritual if you have extra time on your hands, like in the evening or on the weekends.
First, take a warm shower.
Why? The heat from the shower not only relaxes your body and soothes your muscles, but opens the pores of your skin all over your body.
Shower as you normally would, but at the end take a wash cloth and soak it with coconut oil.
With the baby oil drenched in the wash cloth, rub the wash cloth all over your body while trying not to be being hit by the water spray (as much as you possibly can).
Once you have rubbed the coconut oil all over your body, let the water rinse your body for a minute, then get out of the shower.
If time permits, don’t towel try, but air dry instead.
What you will find is the moisture from the coconut oil is sucked up by your skin like a sponge, leaving you with soft and smooth skin.
Give it a try after a long day, and I’m sure it will become one of your favorite bath time rituals.
I do this maybe once or twice a month if my skin is having a hard time staying hydrated. The oil seeps into my skin and really relieves a lot of the stress and pain that comes with dry skin.
